Cashback on Accomodation

Hotel supplier and travel companies use many methods to sell their  products. In the case of hotel rooms, operators may offer incentives either on an early booking basis to ensure minimum occupancy levels, or on a late booking to sell unoccupied rooms or to encourage loyalty.  Incentives may include reduced rate rooms, or elevated levels of commission in the form of cashback on travel, hotel and accommodation to encourage the buyer or their agent to select their product or service. The advantage for the individual business traveller, is that they can earn tax-free revenue simply for selecting one supplier over another, on allowable travel expenses incurred.

Cashback on other goods and services

BizRooms also specialises in sourcing better cashback schemes for  other goods and services such as flights, car hire , meals and business equipment and other business expenses which you were going to incur anyway.

CashBack Tax Status

Several of our members have queried wither recent changes in tax legislation announced associated with investment fund cashback schemes may affect this tax-free position on such cashback payments or would have reduced tax liability, since our tax free cashback can pay out thousands each year free of income tax liability.

A HMRC spokesman clarified the continued tax free position of cashback schemes, stating  "There is no question of tax becoming payable on cashbacks received from credit, debit and loyalty cards or any other kind of cashback payment.“  Obviously members must seek individual advice based on their own circumstances to determine their own tax implications. However we continue to pay cashback without withholding tax for the HMRC based on current legislative position.

Cashback Payment

Cashback is paid after the goods are supplied, or the services taken. In the case of accommodation, this is after the completion of the stay. Cashback is paid directly into your UK bank account, and statements issued electronically.

I live outside UK

Unfortunately we only pay cashback to UK residents with a UK Bank account.

Can the Cashback be paid to a different person

It is a requirement that all cashback is paid into a UK bank account of the registered member. We would highlight however that  this bank account may be a joint account, and further that cashback is not  currently subject to income tax liability which is often the reason for practices such as income splitting.

IR35.

Even where your company is taxed in accordance with IR35, the cashback is paid to you as an individual, and not to your company and as such is tax-free

Can Members Donate their Cashback

Yes we do allow cashback to be donated instead to an approved charity.
